Description:

The Archery Program begins on Sunday, December 8th . This is an Indoor Target
Archery Sport offered at Hawley High School and is part of the National Archery
in the Schools Program (NASP). The program is set up on two levels, one for
students who want to enjoy archery as an extracurricular winter sport and another
for students who want to compete on the nugget archery team. The Nugget team
will prepare for and travel to archery tournaments around the region to compete
with schools hosting team competitions. The team will also be preparing for the
State NASP tournament at the end of March. All students who participate in the
program are eligible and encouraged to be part of the team activities.
Pre- Registration and fees required through Hawley Community Education.
Transportation to tournaments is not provided.
Who: Boys and Girls grades 4-12
Practices: Thursdays & Sundays 6:30-8:30 pm in the Elementary Gym from
December 8th – March 27th , no practice 12/26.
State in St. Cloud on 3/28-29.

Informational meetings for parents & archers 30 minutes prior to the first practice.
All are welcome to this first practice, but we really focus on getting new shooters
set up with their bows and teaching them how to use it, safety rules, etc... After the
first practice, practices will be split grades 4-6 6:30-7:30, 7-12 7:30-8:30.
